HIVE

1capsule a day, with your main meal
Made in the USA
2ingredients, total, on the label

Bee bread is pollen the colony packs into honeycomb and leaves to ferment in lactic acid. That fermentation is the entire point, and it is what separates bee bread from ordinary pollen granules. One capsule of the freeze-dried extract, with vitamin C, taken with your main meal.

✓ Lactic-acid fermented by the colony, not by us ✓ Two ingredients on the label. No filler, no blend ✓ Vitamin C supports normal immune function ✓ Freeze-dried, one capsule daily, taken with food

WHY IT WORKS

The hive ferments it. We just freeze-dry it.

Bee pollen and bee bread are not the same product. One is a granule a bee collected; the other is that granule packed into a wax cell, sealed, and left to lactic-acid ferment for days. We sell the second one. We will also be straight with you further down about how thin the human trial evidence still is.

Fermented, not just collected

Bees pack pollen into comb cells and lactic acid bacteria take over. Published composition tables put lactic acid around 3 percent in bee bread against roughly half a percent in raw pollen. That is a genuinely different food, not a marketing distinction.

One ingredient you can pronounce, plus vitamin C

Freeze-dried bee bread extract and vitamin C. No carrier blend, no proprietary matrix, nothing added to make the capsule feel fuller than it is.

Vitamin C, doing a defined job

Vitamin C supports normal immune function and helps your body absorb iron from plant foods. It is the one thing in this capsule with decades of human data behind it, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise.

Judge it the way you would judge a food

Bee bread is a traditional food the colony makes, not a clinical intervention. Treat it as a small daily addition to what you already eat, and give it months rather than days before you decide what you think.

The Research

The fermentation is documented. What it does in a person is not.

We can show you exactly what happens inside a sealed comb cell, and we can show you the allergy literature you should read before you buy anything made by bees. What nobody can show you is a body of controlled human trials on bee bread. The third paper below is the one that says so.

  1. Fermentation

Researchers fermented bee pollen with Lactobacillus rhamnosus and measured what changed: pH fell, lactic acid content rose, and the fermented product matched natural bee bread on antioxidant activity while carrying more polyphenols. It confirms the fermentation is a real chemical event rather than a story. This was benchtop and yeast-model work, not a human trial.

  2. Allergy

A 2025 narrative review of the human allergy literature on honeybee products found they can trigger reactions ranging from local dermatitis to systemic anaphylaxis, with atopic individuals and beekeepers at heightened risk. The same review noted that bee bread appears less allergenic than other bee products, possibly because lactic fermentation degrades allergenic proteins, and that no severe reaction to bee bread has been reported to date. We do not read that as clearance, and neither should you: read the allergy warning below before you buy.

  3. The ceiling

The most complete review of bee bread catalogs more than 300 identified compounds and concludes its pharmacological properties have been demonstrated in vitro and in animal models. That is the honest ceiling on this ingredient: strong compositional data, essentially no body of controlled human trials. If trial evidence is what you buy on, take creatine or magnesium glycinate from our range instead and skip this one.

Simple as 1 · 2 · 3

One capsule, with your main meal, never on an empty stomach.

1

Eat first

Take one capsule during or immediately after your main meal, with a glass of water. On an empty stomach it can sit badly, which is why the label says not to.

2

Same meal, every day

Attach it to the meal you never skip. Consistency does more work here than timing does, and one capsule at the same meal is easy to keep up.

3

Judge it over a season

Fermented bee bread has been eaten for centuries and studied for a fraction of that. If you want to know whether it is doing anything for you, give it a few months and pay attention, rather than watching the first week.

How to Use How to take HIVE.

Take one (1) capsule per day during or immediately after your main meal, with a glass of water.

Do not take on an empty stomach. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

With food, always The label is specific about this one. During or right after your main meal, with a full glass of water.
One is the whole dose There is no loading phase and no reason to double up. A single capsule is the full daily serving.
Nothing to work around Two ingredients and no active blend, so it sits alongside FOUNDATION, magnesium or a probiotic without any timing or interaction to manage.
Store it cool and dry Keep the bottle sealed, away from heat and direct light. Freeze-dried does not mean indestructible.
Warnings Warnings & safety

Allergy warning. Read this before you buy.

Bee products can cause serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis. Do not take this product if you are allergic to pollen, bee stings, honey, or any other bee product. People with asthma, hay fever, or a history of atopic disease are at higher risk and should speak to a doctor before using it at all. If you develop hives, swelling of the face, lips or throat, wheezing, difficulty breathing, or dizziness, stop taking it and seek emergency medical care immediately.

Not for infants or young children

Do not give this product to infants or children under 12 months, because bee-derived products carry a risk of infant botulism. Keep out of reach of children.

Pregnancy, nursing, and medication

If you are pregnant or nursing, taking prescription medication, or managing a medical condition, consult your healthcare practitioner before use.

General use

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not use if the safety seal is broken. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct light.

Good Questions

Everything you might be wondering about HIVE.

What is the actual difference between bee bread and bee pollen? +

Bee pollen is what a forager collects and carries home. Bee bread, or perga, is that pollen packed into a honeycomb cell, sealed, and left to ferment in lactic acid by the colony's own bacteria and yeasts. The fermentation drops the pH and raises lactic acid content substantially. If a product says pollen, it has not been fermented. If it says bee bread, it has.

Why does the label insist I take it with food? +

Because it is a fermented, acidic food concentrate. Taken on an empty stomach it can sit uncomfortably. During or immediately after your main meal, with a glass of water, is what the label specifies and what we would tell you if you asked.

I get hay fever, or I react to bee stings. Can I take this? +

No. Do not take this product if you are allergic to pollen, bee stings, honey, or any bee product, and speak to a doctor first if you have asthma or a history of atopic disease. Bee products can cause serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis. There are plenty of other things in our range that carry none of that risk, and we would rather point you at one of those.

How strong is the evidence, honestly? +

Honestly, thin on the human side. Bee bread has excellent compositional data, a solid body of laboratory work, and a growing set of animal studies. What it does not have is a meaningful stack of controlled human trials. That is the truth about a traditional food that science got to late. If you want something heavily trialed, look at creatine monohydrate or magnesium glycinate instead.

Where is HIVE made? +

Latvia. Northern European beekeeping country, near the hives the bee bread comes from. We say that plainly because some brands quietly imply USA manufacture and we would rather you know exactly what you are buying.

Is it vegetarian? Is it vegan? +

Vegetarian, yes, and gluten-free. Vegan, no. It is made by bees, which is the whole product. We would rather say that in one line than let you find out after checkout.
